All equipment used in cooling and ventilation systems generate noise due to the flow of air, and it is a challenge to understand the phenomena involved to be able to reduce the noise.

This webinar describes how to predict the noise from fans, blowers and air conditioners using Actran so that design modifications can be tried out to reduce the noise.

This simulation process is based on aero-acoustics, and the different concepts and their practical implementation in predicting the noise will be described.
