Exhaust system performance is critical for quieter design of a variety of machinery including aircraft power units, compressors, refrigerators, and IC Engines. This webinar showcases comprehensive 3D simulation of exhaust systems using Actran.

The process of computation of key performance attributes such as acoustic transmission loss, insertion loss, tailpipe noise, shell noise will be described.

Aspects such as the effect of complex geometries, flow/temperature gradients, perforated sheets/tubes, insulating materials, and catalytic converters can be accurately accounted for in the simulation, and the approach will be described.
